Side bearing type B

Constant contact side bearings type А are installed on railcars to provide control over the railcar truck instability known as truck hunting that occurs on curved track or while swinging under centrifugal forces or other external.

Free height of the side bearing is 134 mm. Operating stroke is 10-20 mm.

The buffer consists of 2 polymer discs capable of carrying up to 460kN and separated by a metal plate, and a polymer thin-walled sleeve operating from free state to the load around 23kN. Further deformation of the sleeve is limited by a metal retainer. Afterwards, an additional stroke of at least 10 mm is possible, at the end of which the load reaches 300kN. Casings of the side bearing do not touch.

Buffer of the side bearing is highly resistant to excessive loads and has a stable performance curve. The design is patented.
