Constant contact side bearings type C are installed on railcars to provide control over the railcar truck instability known as truck hunting that occurs on curved track or while swinging under centrifugal forces or other external.

Free height of the side bearing is 156 mm. Set-up height is 128 mm. Operating stroke is 14-15 mm from set-up height. The buffer consists of 3 polymer sleeves. Side bearing type С is capable of carrying loads up to 47-50kN. Additional stroke is not foreseen. At the end of the operating stroke, further compression of the polymer sleeves is limited by touching casings.

Buffer of the side bearing is highly resistant to excessive loads and has a stable performance curve. The design is patented.
